Knitting Pattern in English for a Short, Fitted Crop Top with Wide Straps in Double Knitting in Sizes XXS/XS | S | M (L | XL | 2XL) 3XL | 4XL | 5XL (5XL/6XL).
 
Structure:
The crop top is worked top down in one piece. First, the back part is worked in wave-lace-pattern back and forth in rows with increases along both sides to shape the armholes. As soon as you have reached the final length and width, the stitches are put on hold and you will start over with the instructions to work the front part by repeating the instructions of the back part. Finally, front and back part are joined to the round by casting on new stitches under the armpits. The crop top is now finished in wave-lace-pattern in the round. The last stripe is a garter stitch stripe in the CC to create a nice border.
Last but not least, stitches are picked up along the armholes to finish off the armholes with a double knitted band which will work as a strap to connect front and back part around the shoulders as well.
The highlight of the crop top is the eye-catching wave-lace-pattern, created by lace-pattern stripes in the MC alternated by garter stitch stripes in the CC.
The fit of the crop top is very fitted with a negative ease of 5 to 15 cm // 2.0 to 5.9 in around the bust. Of course it can be adapted individually due to personal preferences.
