Knitting Pattern in English for a Fitted Cropped Sweater with an Exciting Colour Change on the Body and Sleeves, a Classic Crew Neckline, and Slim-fitting Sleeves, Available in Sizes (XXS) XS | S | M (L | XL | 2XL) 3XL | 4XL | 5XL.

Structure:

The sweater is knitted seamlessly from the top down in one piece: First, the back panel is worked with increases along the armholes with colour changes. Once all increases have been completed, stitches for the front panels are picked up along the cast-on edge of the back panel. The front panels are initially worked separately to shape the crew neckline using increases. Once this is finished, the front is completed in one piece with the same increases along the armholes as the back (including the colour changes). The front and back are then joined by casting on new stitches under the armholes. The body is worked in stockinette stitch with the colour changes and finished with a ribbed hem featuring twisted knit stitches and a rolled edge. The sleeves are then shaped along the armholes using German Short Rows and worked in the round in stockinette stitch with decreases for a close fit down to just before the wrist, and finished with the same ribbing as the body. The neckline is also finished with a ribbed edging and a rolled edge. The fit of the sweater rangesfrom neutral to slightly loose, with approximately 0 to 8 cm // 0 – 3.1 in.Of course it can be worn with less or more ease if preferred. The sleeves are more fitted, and the sweater has a rather cropped length. The highlight of the design is undoubtedly the striking interplay of two contrasting colours, creating what appears to be an optical illusion. The ribbed trims on the body, sleeves and crew neckline give the design a relaxed finish and emphasize the cool, effortless look of the modern colourblock sweater.
